Guidelines for Workshop Proposals


Please prepare a tentative call for papers for your workshop not exceeding 3 pages. The call should contain the following information:

The Advanced Workshops Chair is also happy to discuss proposals in advance of the submission date.

The Submission Procedure

All proposals should be submitted by electronic mail to kon(at)ime.usp.br in one of the following formats - plain ASCII text, .pdf or .ps - as soon as possible, but not later than March 30th, 2004.

Notification of acceptance: April 15th, 2004.

As soon as a workshop proposal is accepted for Middleware 2004, each workshop organizing committee will be responsible for producing and publicizing the final Call for Papers for the workshop and select the workshop participants.

Workshop Proceedings

The workshop organizing committee will select the papers to be presented in each workshop and will collect the camera-ready versions to be printed in a combined workshop proceedings. We expect that each workshop will typically accept 8 to 16 papers and that each paper will be between 4 to 6 pages in length.

Participation in a Workshop

Participation in a particular workshop will be subject to the following conditions: registration for the main conference as well as for the particular workshop (a complementary workshop fee will be applicable), and acceptance at that workshop.
