Shallow water simulation

I've ported the shallow water simulation program to TreadMarks
that was presented by Giridhar Chukkapalli at the POW meeting
last week. Since the program was written for a sequentially
consisten machine (KSR1) I had to insert a few (hopefully
no superfluous) barriers and locks.

The code is in directory:
~mbr/common_disk/Tmk-0.9.6-new/apps/sphere

No. procs: 2 4 8 12 16
Speedup: 1.71 2.83 4.5 6.22 6.3

The speedups are a lot less than reported by Giridhar
but by no means disappointing. It is worth to notice
that the execution time on the KSR with four processors
is approximately six times the execution time on four
processors on POW.

I have done very little to make the program run more efficiently.
