question about TMK_DISTRIBUTE

I am from University of Kentucky, am studying TreadMarks for my research project. Since presently we have not got a Treakmark license with the source code, cansomeone tell me what TMK_DISTRIBUTE call dose? What is the difference between
TMK_DISTRIBUTE and Tmk_distribute()? Are they interchangable?

I am very stuck without these information, any help from you will be greatly
appreciated.
