Short Bio

Mark Fang received his Bachelors of Applied Science in Computer Engineering (Hardware Option) with distinction in 2005, at the University of Toronto. He completed his M.A.Sc. in Computer Engineering at the University of Toronto in 2007. Under the supervision of Professor Jonathan Rose his masters research focused on Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGAs) architecture and CAD. Currently, he is with Xilinx Inc, San Jose, CA, in their CAD development team for FPGA Placer algorithms. His research interests include CAD and architecture for FPGAs, with emphasis on interconnect estimation, physical synthesis, placement and routing.
