BALLISTIC: An Analog Layout Language

FTP Files for BALLISTIC

The BALLISTIC software is available to non-profit organizations only, via this FTP page. If you are interested in the software but qualify as a commercial organization please feel free to download the reference document and contact gdt@eecg.toronto.edu for software availability.

Please note: BALLISTIC requires Mentor Graphics' GDT software to run. You must already have GDT in order to use BALLISTIC. If you do not have a copy of GDT, please contact Mentor for GDT licensing and purchase information.

All organizations may download the postscript reference document (1.7MB) to evaluate the software - click this link then save the resulting file to disk (note: the text portion of the manual is on-line in html format).

To ftp the actual layout software you must qualify as a non-profit organization, and follow the instructions below ...

Downloading the Software

To download the layout software you must be a member of a non-profit organization. You must make a direct connection to the University of Toronto ftp file server in the BALLISTIC directory by following these steps:

Installing the Software

Download both the ftp.install script and the ftp.tar.Z file, then run the ftp.install script to install the software. Note that the ftp.install and ftp.tar.Z files must be in the same directory (you can make a temporary directory and move them both there prior to running the installation).
