Mentor Graphics Higher Education Program

Introduction
The Electronics Group in the department of Electrical and Computer
Engineering at the University of Toronto has been a participant
in Mentor Graphics' Higher Education Program (HEP) since 1993.
The HEP is designed to facilitate the use of Mentor Graphics
tools by undergraduate and graduate students in engineering courses and
in acedemic research.

Curriculum Using Mentor Graphics Software:
- Analog Circuit Design
The GDT suite of tools will be used with BALLISTIC, an analog layout language
developed at the University of Toronto, in an upcoming analog design course.

Research Projects Using Mentor Graphics Software
- BALLISTIC: An Analog Layout Language
This analog layout software works in conjunction with Mentor Graphics'
GDT suite of tools and is available free to non-profit organizations
through anonymous ftp.

Tutorials and Lab Exercises
- Digital Circuit Design
The BALLISTIC layout language has been used for digital circuit layout
in a digital design lab as a preliminary test of the software.
