Biography

I'm currently a PhD student at the University of Toronto. That means I've spent far too long in school. There's light at the end of the tunnel though - it's now 2008 and I may actually be finishing school this year!

Research

My supervisor is Jonathan Rose.

Master's

For my master's, I worked on a project that aimed to speed up the design of FPGAs. My work involved automatically designing an FPGA. Previously developed tools were used to automate the circuit generation and layout and using these tools along with some new features, we were able to make a complete FPGA. We really made it and taped it out. See the papers and thesis below for more details.

PhD

I'm working on the automated electrical design of FPGAs. This automation is used to explore the different trade-offs that are possible in the design of FPGAs.
