Welcome

The 9th Connections ECE Graduate Symposium will be held on May 7, 2013 at the University of Toronto.

Connections, a one-day symposium, is organized by graduate students in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. Its purpose is to provide a platform for graduate students to present ongoing research within the department and at the same time to provide an opportunity for students, faculty, and industry to network and build connections to enable future collaborations.

Last year, it featured more than 33 research presentations from graduate students and 7 industry presentations from CMC, Attodyne, CIPI, ECTI, Google, MaRS, and Qualcomm. The keynote speeches were presented by Sam Lightstone (Program Director, IBM) and Xavier Fernando (Chair, IEEE Toronto Section). Moreover, a panel discussion was arranged on "The emerging technology that will revolutionize the industry" with U of T professors and industry delegates.
