| Talk Title: | An autonomous wireless architecture beyond 3G |
| Slides: | 1-4.pdf |
| Abstract: | The next generation of wireless cellular system is mainly featured as an open wireless architecture. This produces big flexibility not only on the air interface development but also the new thinking of the system structure. To meet the goal, we propose a framework of 'wireless autonomous system' which is different from the traditional cellular concept. In stead of deploying the expensive base stations by certain network operator, very cheap access points can be placed by customers in an arbitrary fashion. Thus, intelligent interference management is crucial towards the robust performance of the system. In this presentation, we will outline the autonomous system concept and report some of our preliminary results on how to control the system interference. |
