| Talk Title: | 80 Gs/s CMOS ADC |
| Slides: | 2-4.ppt |
| Abstract: | This work targets the design and implementation of a CMOS analog-to-digital converter (ADC) for 40Gb/s fiber optic applications. In fiber optic systems operating at high data rate of 40Gbps, the main challenge in the implementation of digital equalization techniques reside in the design of the ADC. Achieving high input bandwidth and reasonable resolution under low supply voltages of modern CMOS technologies, and maintaining power consumption at reasonable levels, are among the main design challenges. In this talk, possible architectures for 4-6 bit 80Gs/s ADCs will be discussed. |
