Talk Title: Control of a Vertical Takeoff and Landing Aircraft
Slides: 9-3.pdf
Abstract: In this talk I will solve the tracking problem for the VTOL aircraft. This is a benchmark problem in nonlinear control because the system is non-minimum phase. First we review why tracking problems are difficult for the VTOL. Then we will show that the VTOL is amenable to a new controller design technique which we have developed.
