: : We have only 42 pins available on the EXPAND-B port.
: : However in this lab, we need 23 address pins, 16 data
: : pins, and 8 signalling pins which amounts to 47
: : signals (neglecting clock and reset).

: : Am I missing something here?

: There are actually 49 pins available. The pins marked DI1/99
: and so on are dual-use pins. During configuration they are
: used to download the configuration bitstream, but after
: configuration of the FPGA they can be used as normal I/Os --
: in the case above, I/O pin #99 for example. This is just
: enough pins to do the lab.

Hmmm...

Lessee.

42 - I/O pins
4 - DI pins
3 - Clear, CLK, OE pins

we need 47 pins IO, and Clock and reset.

Now, unless the OE pin is also able to be used as IO, this isnt possible.

Also, I tried assigning the DI pin as an output pin, and it complained. I guess it should be bi-directional type?

Jim
