Hmmm...

42 - I/O pins
4 - DI pins
3 - Clear, CLK, OE pins
we need 47 pins IO, and Clock and reset.
Now, unless the OE pin is also able to be used as IO, this isnt possible.
Also, I tried assigning the DI pin as an output pin, and it complained. I guess it should be bi-directional type?
